Choosing a Reiki Practitioner or Teacher
There are over 140 different styles of Reiki on site and significantly, it is difficult for those seeking a Reiki practitioner or teacher know what kind of criteria they need to watch out for.
A Reiki Practitioner or Teacher should ultimately take responsibility for giving their customers the best treatment they can offer, while under their care, taking into account the medical condition client and the implications of any medications the client takes their condition. A good Reiki practitioner or teacher should also have the honesty, integrity and the underlying knowledge of their subject. Do not be afraid when you call for a treatment or a course of Reiki to ask many questions about how the practitioner teaching or working with Reiki. If the answers they give you seem ambiguous and forced, then look away.
The main thing is to trust your intuition, it does not matter how aware someone may sound, if you feel something is not quite right, then take Trust your instincts. It does not matter if someone says they have practiced Reiki for 20 years if they understand what they do!
Below you will find some criteria to look out for when deciding where to go for Reiki.
• Ensure the practitioner or Reiki teacher belongs to an association certified Reiki and teaches an accredited course. Also note that the various associations follow different codes of practice and teach their members in different ways.
• Talk with the first Reiki practitioner by telephone to be sure you feel comfortable with the practitioner. Make sure they are empathetic, sincere and can easily answer all your questions. If a Reiki healer you can not understand what they speak, they do not understand themselves.
• Ask the doctor lots of questions how they work with Reiki to make sure it suits you. Many practitioners are not willing to work on special conditions which is fine if all you want is a treatment purely for relaxation, but if you have something that has to deal sure to go to a practitioner who is actively working with Reiki and work directly on your condition (s).
• If you go for a Reiki treatment and you are a Women, it is probably safer to not go and see a female doctor or bring a friend with you to the first treatment.
• Some Web sites offer distant Reiki treatments or initiations. This can be extremely misleading. The qualifications are not recognized and you do not know what kind treatment or course, you will be Getting.
It is much better to see a doctor directly if you learn Reiki, it is important to learn a qualified teacher who will offer you the support you need during and after the course. Initiations distance may be at the very least, ineffective and at worst very dangerous. Remember that you let someone you've never met before making changes to your energy field, so make sure you feel safe with them.
• If you undertake a course of Reiki make sure the course is certified and that textbooks and course of study post supports are included. Some Reiki teachers do not provide you with a manual and it will be difficult to remember everything you've learned and practice Reiki so effective once you've finished your course.
• Be very wary of teachers of Reiki to negotiate deals that offer 'such as learning Reiki I, II and III in one weekend. You can not become a good Reiki Master in a weekend. It is a huge responsibility to teach Reiki and to practice Reiki on others. Learn all levels of Reiki in one weekend will leave you deflated, frustrated, lacking a good knowledge base and most likely not be able to use Reiki effectively.
• Reiki level I if it is traditional Usui Reiki should be 4 initiations, Level He should have 1 induction and Master level should be 1 balancing. This is the number of initiations, the founder of Reiki Mikao Usui used.
Some teachers Reiki say it does not matter how many introductions you have, you'll always be able to use Reiki, but it makes no sense. The initiation process connects you to the source of energy and increases the frequency and placing the Reiki symbols in different parts of your body so you can be an effective channel of energy. They are an essential part of a course of Reiki and it is imperative that you are in harmony properly if you want to be an effective Reiki practitioner yourself.
• Reiki initiations should not involve the womb singing, Tibetan bells, gongs or other accessories useless unrelated Reiki. You do not receive an initiation Traditional Usui if one of the former is involved in the initiation process. It could be preferable to ask the teacher of Reiki before registering for a course that is when you give initiations.
• Be very wary of teachers who offer Reiki initiations or Reiju instead of initiations. Reiju or initiations are that Mikao Usui used to give students he saw every day or every week and they raise the frequency by not very small, you can, after years of practice to use Reiki for healing. Usui gave initiations to the students he saw only one or two times to increase dramatically the frequency of a once because he would not see them on a regular basis. This allowed students to use Usui Reiki to heal instantly.
If you have any initiations Reiju / DIS you will feel empowered, because you will not be able to give effective healing for yourself or others, unless you go hours per day doing specific meditations taught by Mikao Usui, as Hatsu Rei Ho
• If a Reiki teacher tells you that there must be a gap between the Reiki Level I and II, you be better off looking elsewhere. There is indeed much better to learn Reiki I and II together. The reason is that the Reiki Level I only lets you recover from a spiritual level and everyone has physical and emotional traumas that need healing. By learning Level II immediately after, you'll be able to heal at all levels so if something during your period of physical or emotional cleansing surfaces you'll be able to heal effectively. You'll also be able to heal others physically and emotionally, working conditions directly. Level I, you can heal spiritually so that you may be left feeling frustrated that you can not heal more effectively.
• Be sure to check that the Reiki teacher or practitioner has a lineage that stretches all the way back to the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui.
• Ask the Reiki practitioner if they have ongoing treatment or would treat a client for a certain period of time. Good ethics Reiki practitioner should not see a client for more than about 6 to 12 courses (unless the client has a serious or terminal illness that requires ongoing treatment). Some healers Reiki treat someone for years but a good healer should help empower and support for you and get you back to the good health treatment as few as possible, rather than take your money for years.
• Beware of Reiki practitioners and teachers big egos! Reiki is a gift from God or the universe (according to the label you prefer) and a wise healer is humble and accepts that energy Reiki is infinite and unlimited in its potential. A Reiki practitioner must accept responsibility for their customers and treat their customers whatever comes to them.
• A good Reiki practitioner / teacher must accept that Reiki has cons-indications and be willing to discuss with their clients or students. Reiki can not be given in certain circumstances, for example, a person wearing a pacemaker should NOT have Reiki because the pacemaker is electromagnetic and is So Reiki Reiki is why May potentially affect the speed of the pacemaker.
If a Reiki practitioner / teacher claims that Reiki has no cons they may put your health at risk if you have certain conditions or take certain medicines.
These guidelines are by no means exhaustive, but they should give you an idea of what to look for in a Reiki practitioner or Reiki teacher.

That being said, there are steps an individual can take to relieve and maybe eliminate the emotional turbulence that often accompanies panic and anxiety attacks. With a very simple, natural technique called brainwave entrainment, you can get these sensations and feelings under control and put your life back in order.
