Brainwave Mind Voyage

With the alpha wave, is it present in all regions of the brain or just the rear?
I do not understand the concept of knowledge if all regions display the same frequency, just different voltages. If the back has an alpha rhythm, which characteristics waves in other regions? Can be partly alpha and one beta? [...]
