What You Should Know About Zen Meditation
We must all face the stress of work or school either. You can not close our eyes to disappear, but you can find peace so you can cope. A technique that can offer what is called Zen meditation.
Meditation Zen is often described as the study of self. He is sitting in various postures so you are able to bring the spirit and body in a stable and peaceful. This occurs when you focus on images and thoughts that arise as the heart rate slows to reflect state of meditation.
One of the best seating position to do what is called the Burmese position. There is also the lotus, lotus and half kneeling or "seiza" posture and sitting on a chair.
The key here is to keep your back straight so that your deep breathing will naturally. This allows more oxygen to enter to help cleanse and rejuvenate the body.
The buttocks should be pushed out and the chin in. The hands should be placed near the body with the left hand on top of the right with palms open and up. The articulation of middle fingers are resting on top of each other with thumbs touching lightly.
Your eyes should be half closed and the head should be positioned at an angle 45 degrees to the body. Since it is not easy to keep your eyes like this all the time, you can try closing them first, then open them later. If you feel sleepy, just open them wide.
The hard part remains in a stationary position for 15-20 minutes. Having developed a breathing pattern, you slowly relax the muscles in your face down to your feet. As it slows down and oxygen enters, you should focus on positive thoughts and exhale negative ones.
By concentrating, you are able to unite the body, mind and soul so that your mind is aware of only the present, not the past or the future unpredictable.
Outside the upright posture, you should Always wear loose clothing. It is not wise to practice this after a heavy meal because a full stomach usually creates discomfort which in itself is a distraction.
If you want to learn Zen meditation, you can read about it or, better yet join a group. Once you get the blow things, you can even buy a few accessories to make the experiment is successful, as incense sticks, a bell or even a bowl rings to mark the beginning and end of the session.
Short incense sticks burn for about 45 minutes while most are double time. You can even use the kitchen timer because nobody will be there to ring the bell to say time is up.
Zen experts recommend meditation that beginners should try for 10 minutes until you get used before you decide to extend this for 20 or 30 minutes. If your mind wander off, concentrate a little harder to concentrate again on your breathing so your thoughts will settle down naturally.
