Switzerland is politically, economically, socially and environmentally stable. It has also been recognized as a world state, first for a period much longer than China. Therefore, they have much they can learn from the first. The main political lesson which they can learn from Switzerland is introducing greater democracy. The Communist Party may seem effective outside, but he is deeply hurt people. Socially, China can learn from Switzerland by prohibiting religious discrimination. This can be done by creating laws that hold the government accountable. Economically, China can learn from Switzerland's policy of separating the economy as is the case in China today. Finally, the Chinese government should be more vigilant about its environmental policies, like their counterparts in Switzerland. (Ortalano and Ma, 2000)
