How do yo improve self confidence?

I pinch and are sometimes difficult to talk to people I know well, particularly new people. I'm really anxious, sweating when I feel uncomfortable in a situation I just want to get out of there. How can I stop all that. I feel stupid when I meet most people uncomfortable and as they judge me. I can not live my life like that.
